Neither McCain, Palin capable of running business
September 16, 2008
WASHINGTON (AFP) — Neither John McCain nor his running mate Sarah Palin is capable of running a large business, one of the Republican presidential candidate's top economic advisors said Tuesday.
Carly Fiorina, the former chairman of Hewlett Packard, and a senior economics advisor to McCain was asked by a local Missouri radio: "Do you think (Palin) has the experience to run a major company, like Hewlett Packard?"
"No, I don't," Fiorina replied, before adding. "But you know what? That's not what she's running for."
Palin, the governor of Alaska, was McCain's surprise pick for the party's vice presidential nominee and was endorsed by the Republican convention earlier this month.
Fiorina said she believed that Palin "has more experience" than McCain's Democratic rival Barack Obama has in the executive branch of government.
Asked later by the MSNBC news channel if she regretted what she had said about Palin's business acumen, Fiorina replied: "Well, I don't think John McCain could run a major corporation."
Obama spokesman Tommy Vietor wondered why, if McCain's advisor did not think he was capable of running a business, she thought he could run the world's biggest economy in the midst of a financial crisis.

Carly Fiorina runs a major corporation so that means we should trust her with other responsibilities as well? Okay why don't you put her in the pilot's chair on your next flight and test your logic.
Better yet look at the success of major leaders in their own homes. Many politicians and heads of corporations are failures in their own home. Please bring some logic to your blog not this straight ticket junk. If America were to look at both candidates fairly most Americans would quickly nominate a new candidate with the skills, morals, and character to lead this country to higher ground. This candidate would probably be extremely reluctant and only accept if promised to have access to many advisers representing all view points.
Don't edit your articles to suit your needs. The entire comment was that none of the candidates is suited to run a major corporation.
I'll give you that. The comparison is really not relevant. Must have been a slow news day on my end.
That being said, I stand by my opinion that Sarah Palin is not the right choice for America.
Thanks for posting. I appreciate your honest assessment of that news story.
I have not edited a single article on this blog. I post the first few paragraphs and then provide a link to the article in full.
Wow, this is a busy site... LOL
Funny how the only thing liberal democrats are capable of is bashing. It's not who is President, it's who has the majority in Congress that is important. This explains why Congress goes on vacation without taking action on important matters recently.
Typically, like this blog, they don't give you the WHOLE story. Carly said the same about all the candidates, yet Obamas' people cut off... "The rest of the story"
If there is something that has been cut out of the original article I took the excerpt from, please let me know so I can correct it.
I am a registered Independent and welcome all views, but that being said, it is my opinion that John McCain and Sarah Palin are not right for this country and in that respect, yes, this blog is biased towards my views.
I do appreciate you taking the time to post your thoughtful response and again, if the original article I cited is missing the "rest of the story" let me know so I can change the link to the full story.
